ICLE appointed lecturers are chosen based on their academic and professional qualifications as well as experience in the specific area of teaching, mainly lasers in dentistry and laser integration in dental specialties.
ICLE appointed lecturers have demonstrated ability, training, and experience in the fields of laser assisted dentistry. They have the experience and knowledge on how to communicate effectively with professional colleagues, and possess an understanding of the principles and methods of adult education.
 Dr. Glenn A. van As graduated from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada in 1987. In addition to being in full time private practice, he served as an assistant clinical professor at U.B.C. from 1989-1999. He is regarded as one of the top dental clinicians at the forefront of dental technology integration helping dentists achieve excellence in everyday practice. His main areas of interest and expertise include the use of Dental Operating Microscopes and, the integration of Multiple Laser Wavelengths in hard and soft tissue procedures. Dr. van As is renowned for his accumulation of digital microphotography and videography captured through the microscope at magnifications of 2.5-24X. He presents his clinically based lectures in an entertaining and visually stunning fashion.For the past 10 years he has lectured, provided hands on workshops, and published nationally and internationally on the value of both lasers and high magnifications obtainable with the dental operating microscope. Dr. van As has obtained the Advanced Proficiency certification from the Academy of Laser Dentistry, and in 2006 was distinguished with the Leon Goldman award for clinical excellence. In addition, Dr. van As is a founding member and past president of the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry. He is an active member of several dental organizations and web forums dealing with lasers and microscopes in general practice.  Dr. James Jesse graduated from Loma Linda University in Southern California in 1973. He has been running a private practice in Colton, California for the past 31 years. He lectures nationally as well as internationally specializing in the integration of high technology in various fields of dentistry. Presently Dr. Jesse is an assistant Professor at Loma Linda University, CA, department of Restorative Dentistry. He was Associate Professor of Restorative Dentistry in Columbia University, NY. Dr. Jesse is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Operation Dentistry and the World Clinical Laser Institute. He has published numerous articles in various dental journals. He also volunteers in the San Diego Forensic Dentistry department as well as the San Diego Wild Animal Park. From human to animal dentition, Dr. Jesse helps all those in need.  Dr. Louis Chmura graduated from Michigan State University in 1978. After working for 3 years as an engineer, he became convinced he could better serve people in health care. Dr. Chmura completed his Master's degree in Orthodontics from the University of Michigan in 1987 and has had specialized training in biomechanics and aesthetics. His research project was selected for first place at the University of Michigan and he was selected to present his findings at the Association of Dental Research meeting at Denver University. Prior to his office in Marshall, Dr. Chmura also practiced orthodontics in Virginia. Dr. Chmura is member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontics, the American Board of Orthodontics, the Academy of Laser Dentistry, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He is actively involved in two local professional study groups and three national study groups. He has taken numerous continuing education courses in orthodontics, periodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. Each year he attends over 100 hours of continuing education, and in 2006 Dr. Chmura was invited to write a chapter on the innovative uses of a Diode laser in an orthodontic office. Also, Dr. Chmura has been invited to lecture nationally on "Uses of a Soft Tissue Laser in Orthodontics" and "Treatment Planning in an Era of Innovative Technology". He currently resides in Marshall with his wife, Penny, and two children, Claire and John. He enjoys golfing, spending time with family and friends, and reading in his spare time.
 Dr. Ron Kaminer graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1990. He subsequently completed a two year postgraduate Advanced Dentistry residency at Northshore Hospital on Long Island. Dr. Kaminer is a noted author, and teacher on topics such as laser dentistry, minimally invasive dentistry and high tech dentistry. He was recently awarded the Mastership from the World Clinical Laser Institute. Dr. Kaminer maintains a teaching appointment at Peninsula Hospital in Queens where he trains post graduate residents in advanced pediatric and cosmetic education. Dr. Kaminer has lectured nationally on the subject of lasers in dentistry, teaching dentists how to integrate dental laser technology in their practice. He is a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association and the Academy of Operative Dentistry.  Dr. Gerald Bittner Jr. earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1985 from San Francisco's University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. Since then, he's continually added to his professional education with over 300 annual credit hours, in courses covering both the function and esthetics of creating beautiful, healthy smiles. Further, Dr. Bittner has completed a full residency at the local VA Hospital, plus numerous mini-residencies in areas such as occlusion, oral surgery, endodontics, and oral sedation, serving to give him a broad perspective of all aspects of dental health. Dr. Bittner combines an exceptional education, extensive clinical experience, and long-standing personal dedication to improving people's dental health. Dr. Bittner Jr. is a clinical instructor with the Rosental group teaching other dentist the art of cosmetic dentistry. He is also in lectures extensively nationwide.
